Collaboration with immigration attorneys on your case is imperative for the assessor. Immigration evaluations are conducted in a safe, friendly, and culturally sensitive environment offering a variety of evaluations.
Extreme Hardship Waivers
An extreme hardship waiver mental health assessment is completed with the US citizen to assist their non-US citizen family member.
Asylum Cases
An assessment or evaluation is based on psychological need of the non-citizen who shares their lived experience and trauma in their home country. A mental health or psychological evaluation may help your case to stay in this country. Your voice can be heard to give you the best chance to win your case.
Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Case
An undocumented immigrant who is experiencing domestic violence, abuse by a trusted person in their life and/or being told "do what I say or I'll report you" is able to ask to be protected from deportation. This type of evaluation helps to provide information to support the impact of the abuse or violence and provide a way to share your voice in the process. In person or virtual/online assessment session are available. A safe and caring environment where you feel comfortable is essential. There are no guarantees and this is the best option for some immigrants.
U Visa and T Visa Cases
A U Visa case is for a person who must prove they have suffered substantial mental abuse. The mental health assessment/evaluation is critically important to establish a level of “substantial mental abuse.”
A T Visa case is for victims of human trafficking who have assisted law enforcement in investigation/prosecution of perpetrators. It requires an immigration evaluation and is the best option to help you.
Cancellation of Removal
The US citizen/resident is in the process of deportation from the US. You have to prove they would experience "exceptional and extremely unusual hardship" if separated from their family member. This is similar to the Hardship Evaluation but the removal process is already in process. A mental health assessment is essential for the best opportunity to resolve the case. This is a very challenging process and the evaluation may be done through video/online methods, with or without an interpreter.

Additional fees for the assessor to attendance in court hearings is at their hourly rate.
Sessions: 2-3 interview/assessment visits, 60-90 minute/session
Expedited/Rush Completion: $300 additional fee
Completed evaluation: The document is usually 10-12 pages is sent to client and attorney on case and any fees must be paid prior to sending the completed report.
