DBT Group
Grades 9-12

Amelia Neuroth will be offering a DBT Skills Group for grades 9-12 (ages 15-18) starting                                  . This will be an interactive group, giving members an opportunity to learn skills for core mindfulness, tolerating distress, regulating emotions, and engaging effectively in relationships. Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps those experiencing anxiety, depression, self harming, eating disorders, or compulsive thinking to be more effective in living a healthy life. DBT Skills Groups are designed to help members develop emotional and mindful wisdom, learn to deal with self-defeating behaviors and distress in healthier ways, and build relationship skills.

Those interested in this group will complete a short screener prior to membership and weekly participation, and should be engaged in ongoing outpatient mental health treatment. If you do not have an established outpatient counselor, we can connect you with one of our staff for services to be established.
